The 558-400 I/O Auxiliary Harness connects up to 4 Inputs & 4 Outputs to the EFI main harness.Įight Wire I/O Auxiliary Harness Connector Pin-Out (also in the Holley EFI Wiring Manual Link): Then click & drag it to an available J1 Connector Output pin.Now you can run this wire to your component relay.Ī relay must be used because all the ECU's Outputs are rated at a maximum of 2 amps. Select the Switched/Sensor Input Triggers and activation criteria.ģrd It must be Pin-Mapped to an available J1 ECU connector Output pin click "View Outputs" on the Pin Map. Now you can run this wire to your sensor's signal terminal.Ģnd Name it, select Type, Enable it & Configure it. Then click & drag it to an available J1 Connector Input pin. It doesn't have a specific assigned pin it's any available I/O pin, according to which Input/Output Type you selected.ĭon't worry, the EFI software won't allow you to make a mistake with the Pin Map.Ģnd Name it, select Type, Enable it & Configure it.ģrd It must be Pin-Mapped to an available J1 ECU connector Input pin click "View Inputs" on the Pin Map. You're actually programming the ECU to assign a specific function to that Input/Output pin/circuit. I'm totally confused about what inputs do, and how to use them. Then this should have been your first question! Here's a few pictures of what I'm talking about : Or I can run just the pump without the fans, and they still come on if it gets hot.

If I turn on the fans, it will command the water pump on even if I don't have the water pump switch on. I use manual switches to turn on the fans and the water pump,īut if I forget, the ECU will turn them on for me. I actually do this for my water pump and fans. If you turn on the A/C, it will trigger the fan relay as well, all done internally in the ECU. This way, if your fan comes on by temperature, it triggers the output that turns on the fan relay. The first one will be your input for your fan (the one you took directly from an output directly back into the Holley), the second one will be your input for the A/C. The outputs that go to your fan relays will be set with 2 "Switched Input Triggers" setup to activate when any "Single" one is enabled. Then take another set of outputs to go to your fan relays. Easiest way is to make the fan outputs from the Holley, go directly back into an input,Īnd take your "A/C compressor 12V signal" into another input on the Holley.
